A celebrated storybook artist obsessed with tracking down her husband's killer gets a shot at redemption after crossing paths with an old acquaintance who has devoted his life to caring for fatherless children. Her husband murdered in a senseless act of violence, Samantha Crawford (Lynn Collins) devotes her life to capturing the man responsible. But Samantha's fate takes an unexpected twist when she has a harrowing encounter with two children, which leads her back into the company of her longtime friend Joe Bradford (Michael Ealy).
